The pose of the flower can actually be altered. (Figure 3 is the prototype)
Filters change the shadows Grids and baffles change the background Beam tubes light up the subject; pretty much the same can be applied to most photographic subjects.
As an aside, the four-leaf baffle is a nice touch. That's it.
